Job Description
Industrial Scaffold Builder
We are seeking experienced Industrial Scaffold Builders to support refinery, petrochemical, power generation, manufacturing, and industrial construction projects. This position is responsible for the safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding systems used to support maintenance, turnaround, shutdown, and capital construction projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle industrial scaffolding systems.
Read and interpret scaffold drawings, plans, and work instructions.
Safely transport, handle, and secure scaffold components and materials.
Inspect scaffold materials for defects, damage, and proper functionality.
Ensure scaffolding is built according to project specifications and safety requirements.
Work at elevated heights and in various industrial environments.
Maintain compliance with all site-specific safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with supervisors, safety personnel, and other craft workers to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
Qualifications
Previous industrial scaffold building experience required.
Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, manufacturing facilities, or industrial construction environments preferred.
Knowledge of scaffold erection methods, components, and safety requirements.
Ability to read and understand scaffold drawings and instructions.
Ability to safely work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Preferred Certifications
TWIC Card
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
NCCER Scaffold Builder Certification
Fall Protection Training
Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull scaffold materials.
Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
Travel Requirements
Must be willing to travel for projects, including out-of-state assignments, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects as needed.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended schedules as project demands require.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and site-specific requirements.
