Job description

Stellantis, the leading vehicle manufacturer in Spain and a global leader in sustainable mobility (brands including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Opel and Peugeot, among others), is launching a selection process to fill a position as Industrial Purchasing Manager Mangualde, based at its Production Vigo Plant .

Your impact:
*Act as the Purchasing representative for the Mangualde plant, anticipating needs and ensuring that any major purchasing topics are properly escalated and managed in coordination with Central Purchasing. The scope of this role may also extend to additional plants, supporting the globalization of supplier contracts and contributing to savings and performance improvement initiatives.

What you will do:
In this position, you will:
o Act as the Purchasing representative for Mangualde (and vice versa), having an anticipation and scalation role that ensures that any major purchasing topic for the plant is handled by Central Purchasing.
o Ensure and enhance purchasing performance towards the plant, with a strong focus on commercial cost reduction, being responsible to drive the purchasing performance for the benefit of the carlines or engines produced by the plant, animating the action plan related to commercial savings, identifying any new opportunity to bring cost savings and ensure their achievement (Monozukuri workshops, Top Supplier Meetings, Audits, …), providing plant specific input to support the Commodity Strategy, and giving support to the plant for the ISO certification process for indirect purchasing matters.
o Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, covering quality, logistics, indirect services, and overall operational excellence. You will also hold a reinforced role towards local Suppliers (especially just in time Suppliers and service)
o Contribute to strategic sourcing decisions, by providing plan-level insights (Want To Be, Make-or-buy, Sourcing Strategy, Sequencing and Supplier Ecosystem….), aligning purchasing actions with operations priorities and contributing to the launch of new programs on site, together with Program
Purchasing Managers.

*Location: Vigo Plant, with regular travel to Mangualde.

Profile

What will help you succeed:

 Technical skills:
• Master's degree in business, with an engineering background
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing and/or supplier relationship management
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
• Fluent in Portuguese/Spanish and English (C1)
