Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a hands-on Industrial Pump Mechanic / Mechanical Repair Technician for a growing assembly and repair shop in Allendale, NJ. We are open to candidates with strong mechanical or technical backgrounds, including experience in:

• Industrial maintenance
• Rotating equipment
• Machinery repair
• Automotive or diesel mechanics
• Electro-mechanical assembly
• Machining
• Millwright work
• Mechanical assembly or repair environments

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble industrial pumps and mechanical equipment
• Build and test complete pump systems
• Troubleshoot and repair returned or malfunctioning equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship
• Assist with equipment setup, inspections, and testing

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, automotive, machining, maintenance, or technical environments
• Ability to use hand tools and read technical drawings/blueprints
• Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, rotating equipment, or shop machinery is a plus
• Familiarity with lathes, mills, band saws, or 3-phase motors is preferred but not required
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety
