Job title: Industrial Project Manager

Project Definition

• Ensure Building design & developed as prescribed in Building RFQ & general specifications.
• Generate Weekly Reports, Monthly Reports, MOMs, Checklists
• Construction closeout
• Prepare, track & complete the execution of punch lists for each package.
• Coordinate with the client project team for final inspections, and final punch lists and coordinate timely execution of the same.
• Certification of work completion for all packages.
• Co-ordinate delivery of all handover documents from contractors & consultants.
• Follow-ups for As- Build Drawings.
• Preparation of Handing over Documents and all reports.
• Ensures the OPTIPRO Project plan and expenditures are in accordance with the agreed project scope and budget.
• Lead core team members' OPTIPRO activities and budgets, in line with scope and project objectives.
• Establish and manage the project timing plan, consolidate the negotiated planning of each core team member, ensuring that it is in line with OPTIPRO timing plan and other processes (OPTIMAP).
• Sets the targets to be achieved by the team members in line with the project's objectives (safety, hours, investments, cash).
• Ensures that safety rules are implemented, and PO IES standards are applied.
• At the end of the project, assesses progress against the initial project objectives and reports on lessons learned.

Actions management / Reporting / Risks:

• In line with the OPTIPRO Project Plan, consolidates the global project status and ensures that the core teams are accountable for their status regarding to deliverables completion & timing associated.
• Manages and identifies deviations from the planned Project Plan and takes appropriate actions to realign.
• Responsible for organising project meetings, project reviews and end of phase reviews with all core team members to review project status and project action plan follow-up.
• Prepares and presents the gateway reports to the OPTIPRO committee and, in anticipation of the gate event, issues the gate validation report.
• Prioritises and manages the action plan to respond to the risks throughout the project phases.
• Responsible for the financial control / reporting of the project budget cash flow using the standard project management tools.
• Manages the scope changes process and ensures the budget is updated (hours, investments, etc.)
• Manages expenditures versus the planned budget and identifies any deviation related to (hours, investments and expenses), and takes appropriate actions to realign.
• Manages the project cash flow. Only project team member who can authorize payment to suppliers respecting POs procedures and terms.
• Responsible for ensuring the contribution and actions of all project team members to achieve a non-event launch.
• Challenges that the optimum technical and manufacturing solutions / choices are made by the project team to meet the design to cost project objectives.
• Provides periodic reporting to the industrial regional director, highlighting the key project progress and risks.
• Follows the project reporting of each core team member to manage the escalation process of risks and the progress of their project actions.
• Responsible for the performance of the project. Sets targets to the project core team members to achieve as defined in the gate expected (CAPEX, schedule, hours, cash flow…).
• Follows the bidding and selection of suppliers with the purchasing department.
• Ensures compliance of the equipment with local statutory and regulatory applicable requirements

Team / people

• Manages a multidisciplinary team made of « métiers » leaders: building, manufacturing, supply chain, IT, finance, purchasing and operations.
• Ensures the coordination of the project team, communication management, project meeting organization, conflict resolution and building an effective team.
• Ensures the project team applies the methodology - OPTIPRO through adequate division Information Systems.
• In line with the project budget identifies the resource needs, skills and locations to meet the project objectives.
• Establishes and manages the master project timing plan and consolidates negotiated planning of each core team member.
• Contributes to the annual assessment process of the core team members.
• Responsible to ensure the project team apply company standards and best practices as defined by each department to maximise the productivity of the development budget.
• Ensures the health and safety of the project team and the respect of the environment. Applies and respects the procedures of the plant sites.
• Provides the interface between plant, management and the project team.

Department

• Participates in the establishment and the delivery of the department progress plans.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of the departments, organization and methodologies, with actions of lessons learned, best practices and productivity.
• Cascading / be a mentor for another junior Industrial Project Manager.

Experience: 5-8 years’ experience of project management in Building as well as product in Automotive industry –industrial or engineering background

Qualification: University Mechanical Engineering or Business Degree
