The Industrialisation Process Engineer will be responsible for managing the industrialisation/transfer activities in the design, development, validation and manufacturing/service phases to ensure that the manufacturing/repair process takes all industrial constraints into account up until the launch of production and support activities.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Industrialisation Process Engineer, you are accountable to:

  • Assist the launch of production / support and management of the prototype phase; ensuring that processes and tools are defined, implemented and optimised and guarantee their repeatability.
  • Ensure, from the design phase, the manufacturability/support of the products, including methods, process, technology, engineering, maintenance, the supply chain, procurement, etc., to ensure the projected industrial performance.
  • Coordinate industry, procurement, and development teams to ensure the manufacturability/support, testability and objective cost of the industrialised / supported products.
  • Provide support for maturing the product and its manufacturability and serviceability from the design phase until the start of production.
  • Manage the industrialisation work packages by coordinating technical and financial tracking, industrial performance guarantee, capitalisation and feedback, adherence to commitments and reporting.
  • Manage the Readiness Reviews (APQP, MRL, Solution Readiness Level (SRL), Production Readiness Review (PRR), Solution Requirements Review (SRR) and the First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Ensure that the necessary activities for industrialisation are conducted on time by the professional teams (engineering, development, methods, procurement, production, logistics, prototyping, etc.) in accordance with the milestones/schedules.
  • Manage the product and process maturity until industrial performance objectives are met.
  • Work with the Process Engineers (for methods, test, technology, etc) to develop objective costs as early as possible in the process and ensure those costs are maintained.
  • Manage and verify compliance with target production costs (TPCs) throughout the development phase by adhering to Design for Manufacture and Design to Cost principles.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of production and repair processes
  • Extensive knowledge of the products and their manufacturing or repair processes
  • Knowledge of industrial management control
  • Extensive knowledge of work package control
  • Basic knowledge of stock management and flow management methodologies
  • Implementation of continuous improvement and management tools (Lean: flow management, conducting Gemba Walks, Compass Room, PDCA, etc.)
  • Practice of analytical and problem-solving techniques (PDCA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of production tools, industrial IT & use of dashboards (analysis, decision support, etc.)

GOOD TO KNOW
