Bemana is searching for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic in Jesup, GA to join the team of a well-established leader in the pressure-treated lumber and building products industry, supplying residential, commercial, and industrial markets nationwide.

Position Offers:

• Hourly rate $25-$30 depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment to maximize reliability ad minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
• Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, plumbing, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Complete work orders, document maintenance activities, and track repairs using a CMMS.
• Conduct equipment inspections, identify potential failures, and recommend corrective actions before breakdowns occur.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and ensure equipment is safe before returning it to service.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Communicate equipment issues with operations and maintenance teams and assist with training less experienced technicians.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with welding, pipe fitting, and plumbing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Experience using a CMMS for work order management and maintenance documentation preferred.
• PLC knowledge and experience with predictive maintenance techniques are a plus.
