Job Description
Thompson First Group is seeking Industrial Painters for contract-to-hire positions with a local client. Candidates with experience in industrial painting, powder coating, and manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers.
- Apply coatings using a variety of methods, including brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and identify imperfections requiring correction.
- Maintain painting equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support production goals while maintaining high standards for quality and workmanship.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety requirements.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial painting or a related field.
- Industrial painting experience preferred.
- Powder coating experience preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse or manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup, adjustment, and basic maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
