Job Description

Join our team as an Industrial Mill Electrician and play a vital role in powering our heavy industrial operations. In this position, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical electrical systems across our entire processing facility—including crushing, conveying, grinding, pumping, and automated process control systems. We are seeking a skilled professional committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment supporting heavy mill operations.
  • Diagnose complex electrical issues using technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
  • Inspect, maintain, and service industrial motors, drives, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and industrial automation systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance routines to minimize plant downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures, maintaining a safety-first mindset across all work activities.
  • Respond to emergency callouts, perform routine inspections, and maintain clear records of work performed.

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience is required.
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience required; mining or heavy industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, motors, drives, and control circuits is required.
  • Exceptional electrical troubleshooting and schematic-reading abilities are required.
  • Practical experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and hazard recognition is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces is required.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and callouts is required.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience in mining, concentrator, or mineral processing plants preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAG mills, crushers, and large pumping systems preferred.
  • Exposure to high-voltage power distribution systems preferred.
  • Process instrumentation experience (flow, pressure, level) preferred.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software such as SAP or Maximo preferred.
