Job Description

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Helper for Industrial Mechanics/Millwrights on a permanent basis on our Maintenance & Reliability team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

Shift: 4 on 3 off

What you’ll do:

The key role of this position is to efficiently carry out Trade duties in the Mechanic Trade section and perform other duties as assigned of a comparable or lesser degree of responsivity. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • The maintenance and repair of compressors, pumps and other rotating equipment, as well as mobile equipment, trucks and high-speed packaging equipment.
  • Other duties as required.

The Team: You will work closely with other helpers and Tradesperson across the Maintenance Department and will report into the Trades Supervisor.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

  • Candidates must follow the CCRL “Work-Safe” Approach. Completion of Grade XII including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application will be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period.
  • Applications from candidates who do not possess technical qualifications (ex. education, tickets) required for the position as of the closing date of application will not be accepted.
  • Candidates must have superior mechanical aptitude, the physical capability to perform heavy work associated with the position, and demonstrated ability in the performance of semi-skilled maintenance work.
  • The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable trades training courses to qualify for advancement.

This opportunity is a Non-management position offering $44.69 per hour and resides with UNIFOR Canada Local 594.
