Job Description

Join an industry-leading automotive company specializing in metal stampings and assembly as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).

Job Overview

Applicants must be able to perform and instruct in the operation, repair, rebuild and dismantle of all types of equipment and tools. Operate any and all equipment required to complete the job function including tool room equipment.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and analysis skills.
  • Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems.
  • Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Experience

Candidates should have a solid foundation in the following areas:

  • Ability to perform and instruct in the operation, repair, rebuild and dismantle of all types of equipment and tools without supervision.
  • Experience with stamping press repair, automation repair, maintenance of industrial equipment, preventative/predictive maintenance skills required.
  • Ability to operate any equipment required to compete job functions, including tool room equipment.
  • Must have extensice knowledge of air and hydraulic systems, air refrigeration, air compressors and proportional valve repairs.
  • SMAW and GMAW experience required.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to implement hands on corrective actions.
