Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Machine Operator Fabricator to join our brand new, state of the art Baltimore manufacturing team. This position focuses on fabricating and welding hazardous waste transportation containers in a controlled, safety-first environment. You’ll work primarily with mild carbon steel using brand new machine tools.

Pay: $20-$30

  • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
  • Operate Press Brake, Roller, Hydraulic plate shear, Bandsaw (training provided on each specific machine)
  • Operate Overhead Crane or other Hoists
  • Ability to teach skills to others
  • Safely operate a forklift for material handling
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment based on a complete analysis of the job site and tasks being performed, including a respirator if required
  • Layout, cut and fit, utilizing measuring tapes, bandsaws, grinders, hoists and assembly fixtures to fabricate assemblies precisely
  • Set up welding equipment for weld procedures
  • Maintain compliance with Clean Harbors safety protocols
  • Keep work area clean and organized; report equipment issues promptly
  • Perform periodic mild maintenance tasks such as emptying / unloading chip bins, greasing fittings, cleaning and routine equipment inspections (training provided).
  • Forklift Certification (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED, associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1+ year machine tool experience; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
  • Strong safety focus and attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
