Behind every reliable production line is a strong maintenance team. Dart's Scarborough manufacturing facility is adding a Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.

• Starting Rate $36.01/hour (fixed & non-negotiable)
• Shift: 8-hour / COP Schedule | All Shifts Required

What You'll Do...

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding complex machinery and mechanical equipment. Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment using blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
• Diagnosing mechanical issues through visual, auditory, and operational inspections
• Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling machinery components
• Maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems
• Performing preventive maintenance and supporting production changeovers
• Using ERP systems to maintain accurate maintenance records
• Collaborating closely with Maintenance, Production, and Plant leadership
• Following all safety, GMP, food safety, and quality standards

What You'll Need...

• Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright License
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
• 2–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic (preferred
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine tools
• Ability to pass a technical/mechanical aptitude test
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, climbing, standing, temperature variation)

Schedule & Union Environment

This is a unionized position, and union membership is mandatory upon successful completion of the probationary period.

• The role follows an 8-hour / COP schedule
• Availability for all shifts is required
• Shifts are assigned based on union seniority and existing preferences
