The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor in the Industrial Maintenance program

Job Duties

  • 100% -
  • Provide classroom and lab instruction to prepare students to become Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
  • Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
  • Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
  • Assist in recruitment and placement of students.
  • Maintain good public relations with business and industry.
  • Maintain an active advisory committee - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credential in related field. Associates Degree preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ work-related experience. Manufacturing experience a plus.
• Must be proficient in basic electronics and electricity and be knowledgeable of hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), instrumentation, and preventive maintenance.
• Must commit to remain current in the Industrial Maintenance field and maintain program accreditation status.
• Must possess computer skills and ability to utilize technology to enhance teaching.
• Knowledge of welding, machining, and HVAC principles is a plus.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

  • Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, stoop, stand and work, with or without accommodation, to demonstrate and perform all work-based projects in a classroom and instructional setting.
  • Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.
