The Industrial Labour for Specialized Services will be working alongside a team of highly trained individuals who handle the company’s most dynamic projects. This individual will be highly motivated, coachable and willing to obtain further training while always displaying a positive attitude.
Key Accountabilities
Involved with execution of chemical and petroleum transfers including materials handling
Fully engaged as an entrant, manwatch, or rescue attendant for Confined Space Entry projects inclusive of tank cleanings.
Involvement with HAZMAT Emergency Response and responding to spills
Involvement with transloading of railcars (Both liquid and solid products)
Involvement with railcar cleaning and purging operations
Involvement with environmental projects and assisting as required
Involvement with technical rescue services including water response
Fully engaged with decontamination projects under direction of project leader
Participation in projects that are deemed out of scope or require more planning and preparation
Willingness to lead by example and work safely, ensuring compliance with all GFL’s policies and procedures
Affiliation and involvement with various divisions, and various work types throughout the company
Requirements
Physically fit
Able to work long hours
Able to work out of town from time to time
Meticulous, organized and motivated
Able to problem solve and trouble shoot
Excellent communication skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Able to take direction and follow through on instructions
Mechanically inclined
Vacuum truck and power washing would be an asset
Specialized training provided by GFL
