Industrial Engineering Testing

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Be the architect of better testing: bring engineering, automation and continuous improvement together to help make equipment testing more reliable and production more efficient. At Sidel, your work will contribute to developing high-performance packaging solutions and advancing innovation in the packaging industry. As part of the Industrial Engineering Team, you will shape testing procedures and tools for Filler equipment, working with teams across Innovation, Engineering, Customer Project Management and Production, as well as external partners. YOUR MISSION

• Define standard work, checklists and testing schedules, helping teams deliver equipment tests to quality and project targets.
• Contribute to product development by shaping strategic solutions that improve final-product quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Lead industrial automation projects, from Siemens or B&R PLC software and EPLAN electrical design to Digital Twin integration for testing, validation and production optimization.
• Use Lean Six Sigma practices to analyze process data, investigate variability and coordinate root-cause actions across functions.
• Drive continuous improvement and develop testing tools to reduce cycle time, strengthen quality assurance and support manufacturing productivity.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on World Class Manufacturing and digital transformation initiatives, coordinating external partners on agreed scope, schedules and budgets.

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Automation or Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Experience or knowledge in PLC programming, electrical design and automation tools such as TIA Portal, B&R Automation Studio and EPLAN P8.
• Programming knowledge in VB, Python, C++, Java or SQLite; proficiency in MS Office and Outlook. Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken Italian and English; French is a plus.
• A curious, analytical and collaborative approach, with the ability to learn, investigate root causes and turn insights into practical improvements.
• Open to working across teams and with external partners to deliver shared outcomes. We welcome applicants with varied experiences and perspectives.
