
The Global Manufacturing organization at ASML works across factories worldwide to strengthen operational excellence. The Global LEAN Manufacturing team supports this ambition by enabling consistent ways of working, clear standards, and strong knowledge sharing. In this LEAN manufacturing internship: central competence landscape, you contribute to building a stronger global LEAN community. Your work helps teams learn faster, align better, and create sustainable improvement across manufacturing. This internship is based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and connects you with colleagues across different countries.
During this internship you will support the Global LEAN Manufacturing team in increasing its impact across ASML factories. You will help organize knowledge, improve communication, and strengthen governance around LEAN deployment. Your work contributes directly to clearer insights, shared best practices, and better collaboration worldwide. Your main responsibilities will be:
Support monthly communication on LEAN progress, challenges, and results across global factories.
Improve reporting structures to increase clarity, consistency, and usefulness for decision-making.
Help structure and organize LEAN knowledge into a clear, accessible central landscape.
Support the development of standardized LEAN materials, including playbooks and training content.
Contribute to integrating quality topics into LEAN assessments and improvement initiatives.
Propose new or improved communication approaches to increase visibility of LEAN efforts.
Support preparation and facilitation of meetings, workshops, and community sessions.
This is a bachelor/masters non-thesis internship for minimum 4-6 months, minimum 4 days per week (4 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Business Administration.
Have a basic understanding of operations management and LEAN manufacturing principles.
Are analytical and able to structure information into clear insights and materials.
Communicate clearly and collaborate well in an international, English-speaking environment.
Are proactive, organized, and motivated to improve ways of working.
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
