Introduction

The Business Engineering department at ASML in Veldhoven supports operational teams with data-driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives. The team works closely with stakeholders to improve performance, resource planning, and decision-making across the value chain internship, you contribute to structured analysis and reporting that supports daily operations and longer-term improvements. This internship allows you to apply theoretical knowledge in a highly innovative, international environment. You learn how data, processes, and people come together within a complex high-tech organization.

Your assignment

During this internship, you support business engineering activities through data analysis, reporting, and process support. You work under guidance of experienced engineers and collaborate with operational teams within the department. Your work helps improve transparency, performance monitoring, and decision support. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Collecting, validating, and consolidating data from multiple sources for reports and reviews

  • Supporting analysis of resource planning, costs, and performance trends

  • Preparing input for performance and management reviews

  • Creating clear visual reports and dashboards to support stakeholder questions

  • Analyzing performance indicators to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities

  • Supporting documentation of processes, standards, and work instructions

  • Providing analytical support to improvement projects and business cases

This is a non-thesis bachelor/masters internship for 6 months, minimum 4-5 days per week (4 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026, but earlier is possible.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are enrolled in a bachelor’s/masters degree in industrial engineering or business administration

  • Have basic knowledge of operations management, data analytics, or business processes

  • Work in a structured and analytical way when dealing with data and reports

  • Communicate clearly in English and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders

  • Take a proactive and curious approach to learning and continuous improvement

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
