To support this exciting endeavor, we are currently looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Automation and Operation Technology platform.
About the role
As an Industrial Engineer within our Warehouse Automation & Operational Technology (AOT) team, you will support the design, validation, and integration of automation and operational technology solutions across Maersk’s global warehouse network. Working closely with Solution Designers, Operations, Business stakeholders, and technical teams, you will help translate operational requirements into scalable automation concepts, technical designs, and implementation plans that improve performance, efficiency, and reliability across our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Solution Designers, Operations, and Business stakeholders to understand warehouse automation opportunities and operational requirements.
- Develop, validate, and refine technical scopes of work covering automation systems, OT devices, network infrastructure, computing resources, and system integrations.
- Create automation and operational technology concept designs aligned with ISA-95 principles and end-to-end infrastructure requirements.
- Prepare technology budget estimates and assess total technology cost of ownership (TCO) for automation projects.
- Lead engineering validation activities for automation tenders (RFPs), reviewing technical requirements, evaluating vendor proposals, and providing recommendations.
- Support detailed design reviews, value stream mapping, testing strategies, and automation acceptance activities including FAT, UAT, and integration testing.
- Coordinate with automation vendors, system integrators, and internal technology teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of warehouse technology solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience within logistics, warehousing, automation, operational technology, or related engineering environments.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1 level), both written and spoken.
- Experience designing, implementing, or supporting warehouse automation solutions such as sortation systems, Pick-to-Light (PTL), AGVs, AMRs, AS/RS, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of warehouse operational processes and system architectures, including WMS, WCS, WES, MES, SCADA, and HMI environments.
- Understanding of network infrastructure concepts, including WAN, WLAN, and LAN, as well as OT devices used in warehouse operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across global cross-functional teams.
