YOUR MISSION

Establish and govern PUMA’s apparel IE knowledge base, covering SMV via GSD and motion-code methodologies, material consumption validation and marker efficiency. Partner with IT and T1 suppliers to build and maintain standardized data and motion-code libraries, define PUMA-specific standards and ensure consistent and accurate application of the costing framework across the supplier base

Task 1:

Motion code Library
Establish and maintain a motion code library for PUMA.

Task 2:

CONSUMPTION/CAD MARKER
Establish and execute supplier consumption audits for cost adherence. Work with internal and external teams to improve material consumption values for PUMA.

Task 3:

SMV DATA VALIDATION
Establish and implement a process for SMV data validation at T1 base. Perform regular audits for data checks and verification.
1. Marker efficiency improvement
Assess marker efficiencies, fabric width usage, grain line, shrinkage, defects, nap direction, print direction, size ration, pattern placement and cutting feasibility to improve marker efficiency and lower wastage guidelines for suppliers
2. Pattern area improvement
Support in aligning size offering to lower required fabric used in garment overall
3. Implementation support
Support ongoing costing initiative including adaptation and integration of tools (e.g., SMV validation via AI tool)
4. Select audits
Evaluate full garment production process at factories, including fabric inspection, fabric relaxation, marker making, cutting, numbering, bundling, sewing, inline inspection, finishing, pressing, packing and final quality inspection, identify risks related to poor material flow, bottlenecks etc.

Task 4:

STRATEGIC PROJECTS

Partake in strategic projects such as ONE COSTING and input and represent that perspective of technical costing team. Support the creation and implementation in relevant IT tools.

YOUR TALENT

  • Industrial engineering degree or equivalent
  • GSD / GST certified or similar
  • In-depth experience with different CAD programs
  • Standard IT Tools (MS Office)
  • Strong experience (5+ years) in garment manufacturing, supplier quality, production engineering or factory process control
  • Work experience and travel and work permit in Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Bangladesh
  • Fluent English
  • Source Country relevant Languages an advantage
  • Travel time: 50%
