Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to work effectively with production supervisors and hourly operators
- High attention to detail and ability to analyze data to drive improvements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Experience supporting EH&S initiatives or working closely with safety professionals
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
- Experience developing SOPs, standard work, and operator training documentation
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
- Experience in discrete or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, workflows, and labor utilization
- Conducting time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and standard work development
- Supporting layout planning, material flow, and ergonomic improvements on the shop floor
- Partnering with supervisors and operators to document and maintain SOPs and work instructions
- Collaborating with EH&S to integrate safety considerations into process design and improvements
- Supporting ergonomic assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk-reduction initiatives
- Working with the Quality team to support root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and process consistency
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting operational data related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost
- Developing reports, dashboards, and visual management tools
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
