Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Faculty 9 month

Salary: $38,466.42 - 48,146.03

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching and Direct Instructional Activities (65 – 75% of Activity, 25 – 30 hrs. wk.)
• Preparation of Course Materials
• Course Presentation
• Student Performance Evaluation

Service to Students, Department, Division or College (20 – 30% of Activity, 10 – 15 hrs. wk.)
• Institutional Service
• Community Service
• Student Services

Research and Professional Development Activities (5 – 15% of Activity, 5 – 10 hrs. wk.)
• Developing/Maintaining Professional Relationships
• Continuing Education
• Publishing/Writing Activities
• Research Activities

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Dean, Vice Chancellor, or Chancellor.

Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of educational and business services.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification

The minimum qualification for teaching in an academic area is a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of directly-related occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught OR

Associate’s degree and 4 years of occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience teaching Industrial Electronics courses at the Community College level.
•Experience and demonstrated success in teaching.
•Experience with classroom technology

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated expertise in the subject area is required.
Clear and timely written and oral communication
Familiar with technology such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
