Shift Available: Rotating 12 hour shift (four (4) days on, five (5) days off, five (5) days on, four (4) days off)

Compensation: $44.30/hr

Principal Accountabilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts for industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Troubleshoot and install fire alarm systems and support construction-related electrical projects
  • Work with and maintain Allen-Bradley VFDs and 600-volt distribution systems (MCCs)
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyperson Electrician ticket recognized in Alberta
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment
  • Expertise with Canadian Electrical Code and industrial electrical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining: Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs / Motor Control Centers (MCCs) / 600V electrical distribution systems / Electrical motors and control circuits / Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems / Switchgear and transformers
  • Experience with fire alarm installation and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficient in electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
  • Working knowledge of automation systems and industrial networks
  • Relevant certifications as Industrial Electrician
  • Red Seal ticket
