Industrial Electrician – 4-Week Plant Project

Location: Ashland, VA

Job Type: Full-Time Temporary Project

Project Length: 4 weeks

Shift: 1st Shift

Starting Pay: $28.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience

Job Summary

Hiring an Industrial Electrician for a short-term plant project. This position will install and connect electrical systems in an active industrial facility while working alongside pipefitters and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate industrial wiring, conduit, and electrical components.
• Route and install conduit, supports, cable, junction boxes, disconnects, and related equipment.
• Connect electrical systems and components according to project requirements.
• Read electrical drawings, layouts, and work instructions to determine proper installation and component placement.
• Use hand and power tools for electrical installation work.
• Coordinate electrical work with pipefitting crews installing process piping.
• Work safely around ongoing plant operations and other trades.
• Complete assigned work according to project schedules and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Industrial electrical installation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
• Experience installing conduit, wiring, junction boxes, disconnects, and electrical equipment.
• Comfortable using electrical hand and power tools.
• Ability to work safely in an active plant environment.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with other trades.

Project Opportunity: This is a 4-week temporary project with the potential for Contract-to-Hire based on performance and business needs.
