About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified 'A' Class Industrial Electrician to join a family-owned business specializing in stock and pet food manufacturing. This exciting role will focus on supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations during a major expansion phase that includes a substantial solar farm installation.
Your primary responsibility will involve conducting preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance on various plant and equipment and minor project coordination—spanning highly automated manufacturing systems and industrial equipment. You will collaborate closely with the electrical maintenance team, including automation specialists and operations personnel, to ensure continuous and efficient manufacturing operations.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial automation systems and renewable energy infrastructure while contributing to the growth of one of Australia's most advanced and versatile mills. Strong fault-finding abilities and industrial automation experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance on manufacturing plant and equipment
Coordinate and execute minor electrical projects and system upgrades
Perform calibration of equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operations
Execute reactive electrical repair work across 24/7 manufacturing operations
Design, fabricate and install new equipment and electrical system upgrades
Maintain compliance with WHS practices and safety standards
Support major expansion projects including solar farm infrastructure
Work collaboratively with maintenance team to optimize system performance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance capabilities development

Qualifications:
Minimum qualified 'A' Class Electrician certification
Expertise in industrial automation systems and manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of WHS practices and safety protocols
Demonstrated fault finding and problem-solving skills in industrial settings
Experience with SCADA and Citect systems (desirable)
Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and Omron PLC platforms (desirable)
Proficient with electrical diagnostic equipment and maintenance tools
High risk work licences for working at heights and confined spaces (desirable)
Experience in highly automated manufacturing environment (highly regarded)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility for day shift Monday to Friday with adjustable start times
