Job Description

Marshall Land Systems is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our team in Moncton. Reporting to the Supervisor, Components and Assembly, the Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, mechanical, and pneumatic components within deployable shelters. This role also includes testing completed shelters to ensure full functionality, as well as inspecting electrical installation work performed by other team members. In addition to strong technical and mechanical expertise, the Industrial Electrician is expected to provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior employees.


Your responsibilities in this role:

  • Assemble, install, and test electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data.
  • Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Operate standard equipment including but not limited to multimeters, grinders, verniers, micrometers, and band saw.
  • Able to assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Due to projected manufacturing demands, there may be a requirement to work shifts and overtime, when required.
  • Train, develop and mentor other employees.
  • Inspect electrical assembly work of other employees, ensuring the work meets established codes.
  • Participate in the creation of job instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Apply if you have most of the following:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Red Seal Industrial Electrician trade certification.
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatics, and controls are preferred.
  • Available to work overtime as required.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Able to deal with and support change.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Soldering skills considered an asset.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMEDU
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to build trust and respect among fellow team members.

Must be eligible to meet requirements of export control and security regulations including Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearances.
