Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician at our Morton, IL facility! This full-time position offers a starting pay range of $35.81 – $36.43 per hour, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift (based on experience).

This role also includes a retention bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.

As an Industrial Electrician, you willbe responsible forbuilding, installing, and repairing electrical and electronic circuits used in machine tools and plant equipment. You will apply your knowledge of electrical systems to test, diagnose, and resolve malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experiencemaintainingelectrical equipment in an industrial environment

  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing CNC/PLC controlled machines

  • Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives

  • Ability todemonstrateintermediate or higherproficiencyin reading and interpreting machine tool prints/schematics

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Ability tooperatebasic tools to complete the job

  • Demonstrate comprehension of oral instructions and/or printed work orders todeterminework assignments and material

  • and equipment needs

  • Satisfactorilydemonstrateproficiencyin electrical theory and application relating to plant operations equipment

  • Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Must pass the color blindness test

  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret oral instructions and written work orders

  • Proficiencyin electrical and electronic theory as it relates to plant operations

  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams

  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical/electronic experience (or equivalent) for intermediate-level tasks

  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical installation/repair experience (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrician certification

  • Self-starter andself motivatedindividual who works well individually in a team environment

  • Willingness to work overtime to support production demands

  • Minimum of 3years experiencemaintainingelectrical equipment in an industrial environment
