Plastipak is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician at our recycling facility in Keasbey, NJ. This is a Direct Hire position that offers paid training and opportunities for advancement.
Repair and maintain the recycling Process Lines, Extruders, and Auxiliary equipment associated with production lines. Electrical troubleshooting, motors, chillers, conveyors, grinders, boilers, and any other equipment installed within Plastipak.

What you’ll be doing as an Electrical Technician
Investigate, troubleshoot and review machinery and equipment problems looking to implement corrective actions.
Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution
Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment and machines
Operate and test equipment electrically and mechanically for performance and determine if repairs and scheduled maintenance are successful and ensures longevity of the repair.
Perform work requiring a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation, and application of equipment
Install, wire, or re-wire electrical devices, such as; contractors, overloads, photo eyes, solenoid valves, motors, relays, VFD's and heaters bands.
Qualifications for an Electrical Technician
Minimum of 3 years hands on electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical knowledge & skills
Ability to diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective measures
Ability to troubleshoot de-energized/live circuits, PLC, HMI, VFD, Controls, Motors, and Sensors
Demonstrated knowledge of wiring and designing of circuits (required)
Experience reading schematics/blueprints
