We're currently looking for a talented, innovative and driven Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team in Shanghai. In this role, you'll be a core contributor to the product development lifecycle — translating user insights and market trends into compelling, functional and beautiful physical products. As a key member of our Shanghai studio, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management and manufacturing partners, to bring cutting-edge concepts to reality.

Requirements

-What will your day to day be like?-

You will:

• Contribute to design projects across the full product development cycle — desktop research, sketching, concepting, concept refinement, finalisation and 3D CAD modeling.

• Manage design projects end-to-end, including timing, deliverables and quality standards.

• Work closely with the wider Nacar team ( Shanghai and HQ) to align on client needs and design directions.

• Build strong client relationships through regular, proactive communication

• Provide ongoing support to existing clients assigned by the Management, Sales or BD team.

• Keep the internal team constantly informed of project progress, risks and opportunities.

-What are we looking for?-

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design, Product Design or a related field.

• 3+ years of professional experience as an Industrial Designer (consultancy or in-house).

• Exceptional skills in 3D CAD software (Rhino, SolidWorks or similar) and rendering tools (KeyShot or equivalent).

• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

• Hands-on prototyping experience — quick mock-ups, 3D printing and workshop tools.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, etc.) and materials.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process — from initial research and sketching to final 3D renders and production-ready products.

• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills — able to communicate design ideas effectively to internal stakeholders and global clients through high-quality visuals and narrative.

• Strong organisation and project management skills — comfortable owning timing, deliverables and client communication.

• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong plus for local client interaction.

• Eligible to work in China (mandatory).
