Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an Industrial Design Engineer to join our R&D Department. The role is responsible for the design of lead acid traction batteries and their accessories, the creation of the corresponding material codes in SAP (master data, BOMs, routings) and the technical management of the traction battery orders. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

• Design of batteries used in material handling equipment (traction batteries), selection of the appropriate metallic containers (trays) and the cells that should be used as well as the connection layout and the arrangement of the cells inside the tray
• Design of the metallic container (tray) of the battery according to customer's requirements. Responsible to maintain and modify the tray drawings
• Create, maintain and modify the material codes in the system for the products, as well as the Bill of Materials (BOM) and the Routing in the system.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of working experience as Design Engineer in industrial/ manufacturing environment
• BSc in Mechanical Engineering - MEng is a plus
• Excellent MS Office knowledge
• Use of design software AutoCAD
• Fluency in English & Greek (verbal & written)
• Κnowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
