Job Description

Custodian / Janitor – Weekend Shift
Schedule: Saturday- Monday 5:30am-5:30pm
**Will Train on Day Shift
Pay: $17–$19/hr + 20% shift differential

American Products is hiring a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and well organized production and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment
• Clean plant floors using ride on and walk behind scrubbers and sweepers
• Empty trash throughout the facility
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces
• Clean windows, walls, and high traffic areas
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
Physical & Safety Requirements
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Forklift operation required; position is safety sensitive
• Must wear required PPE, including steel toe boots and safety glasses
No travel required. No direct reports.
