Position responsibilities include:
•Follow all safety procedures, including the wearing of all required personal protective equipment.
Maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment by using industrial cleaning equipment and machines, ensuring all protective measures are in place.
•Clean manufacturing areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, machines, etc.). Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
•Perform duct cleaning and facility structural cleaning, including beams, ceilings, walls, and overhead areas.
•Perform facility repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, wall repair, and general refurbishment work.
•Support facility refurbishment projects as directed by the supervisor.
•Propose improvements and participate in problem solving using the Safety Corner Board, Continuous Improvement Suggestions, and participate in monthly Communication and Awareness initiatives.
•Keep area clean and orderly per 5S requirements, which includes aisleways and areas around equipment being used.
•Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
Possess the ability to follow directions from and communicate with supervisors, technicians, and co-workers professionally.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend and train on documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in the English language.
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively and effectively as a team member with co-workers.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Ability to handle equipment and machinery.
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS).
Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on quality and safety.
Prior experience in industrial cleaning, facility maintenance, or related trade is preferred but not required.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using prescribed safety measures
US citizenship required.
