Job Description

This project will help manage the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site which will include preservation, installation, and documentation of artifacts, specimens, or artwork within a museum collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, repair and rehabilitation of exhibits.
  • Provides information to visitors, researchers, and park staff
  • Perform clerical operations in support of the curatorial operation
  • Perform museum housekeeping, implementing environmental monitoring programs and preparing data recording.

Marginal Duties

  • Unpacking objects and processing them (cleans, identifies, repacks, labels, and preserves objects).

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Required to operate a government motor vehicle
  • Valid driver's license
  • Wear an SCA uniform
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (if necessary for a special event)

This SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.

Compensation

  • Living Allowance: $600/week

All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
