The Women for Bees initiative, implemented by UNESCO's MAB Programme, empowers women beekeepers in biosphere reserves globally through training, networking, and research. Its first phase trained women across nine countries (Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, France, India, Peru, the Russian Federation, Rwanda and Slovenia) and yielded knowledge products as well as a consolidated network of beekeepers. A second phase of the project is now being launched.
We are seeking a Community Manager Consultant to carry the project's knowledge products through their final stages and to maintain the momentum of the women beekeepers' network during the second phase. The assignment is structured around two flagship deliverables: voluntary guidelines on sustainable beekeeping in biosphere reserves, and international beekeeping masterclass for project participants. It also includes follow-up with local partners and continuity of community engagement across project sites.

UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was founded on 16 November 1945. For this specialized United Nations agency, it is not enough to build classrooms in devastated countries or to publish scientific breakthroughs. Education, Social and Natural Science, Culture and Communication are the means to a far more ambitious goal : to build peace in the minds of women and men.
