Job Description

Purchasing & Supplier Quality is crucial to our success as a global provider of innovative mobility solutions. As part of the procurement team, you actively help shape the future of mobility. Close collaboration with all business areas ensures the definition and implementation of commodity group strategies, while commercial negotiations have a direct impact on the company's success. Selecting the best and most innovative suppliers guarantees the highest quality standards, as well as sustainable and innovative products. The tasks in procurement are as diverse as they are essential to success.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

  • Crossfunctionally supports a Battery Project Team with focus on Cost Management. In this role the CEE functionally reports to the project manager of each Battery project.
  • Management means
    a) collection of all data from all departments/functions in order to create the full picture
    b) make costs transparency by supporting the PC and finance
  • Challenge costs towards Tier 2, plant, R&D and all functions to optimize/reduce costs and help purchasing negotiate better conditions on the Tier 2 side
  • Support transfer of data to sales (Sales has responsibility of CBD/offer) and actively support cost explanations and discussions with customer
  • Define (together with purchasing, R&D, OPQ) VA/VE or cost improvement targets and achieve those while conducting continuous cost analyses, benchmarks and tear down activities

This is what you bring to us:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience within Cost Management or VA/VE
  • Tough and transparent challenging and arguing capabilities while discussing costs, both on customer and supplier side
  • Broad technical understanding in complex engineering/manufacturing projects with ability to isolate and abstract cost elements, analytical interdisciplinary and customer-oriented thinking
  • High networking skills (also with Management), ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and self-confident appearance, fluent in English and German
  • Safe handling of MS-Office and SAP applications
