Job Purpose:
The Indirect Procurement (IP) Manager will act as a strategic business partner, supporting all CHANEL ’s business units in Malaysia Market. This role is designed to create significant value beyond cost savings. You will be responsible for maturing the end-to-end source-to-pay process, protecting our brand reputation, mitigating risks, driving both process efficiency and cost effectiveness.
As a key member of SEAA Procurement Team, you will also contribute to regional sourcing initiatives, ensuring that market-level strategies align with our broader regional and global objectives.
The primary roles of IP Manager include but not limited to:
reinforce the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process of indirect spend categories (including opex and capex) and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process at market level;
execute, socialize and govern S2P Policy & Procedures at market level;
develop & implement different strategic sourcing initiatives within an assigned portfolio of indirect spend categories locally together with those initiated globally or regionally from time to time;
align with business units on appropriate negotiation and contracting strategies to support their business needs for ensuring CHANEL receives the optimal balance of cost, quality and risks;
embed sustainable procurement practices to support CHANEL’s APAC Sustainability initiatives and ESG goals;
mitigate all kinds of risk through sourcing outcomes to protect the CHANEL brand.

Person Specifications:
Academic / Professional Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related disciplines
CIPS qualification is a plus
Work Experiences
10 years of experience in procurement or other managerial positions at multinational corporations with focus on category management and/or supplier management
Preferably experienced in luxury retail or FMCG industry but not a MUST
Experiences of implementation of sizable transformational projects is preferrable.
Required Competencies
In-depth understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) process
Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions analytical skills and attentive to details
Solid knowledge/ experience in strategic indirect procurement role, with track record of delivering value beyond cost savings
Experience with any ERP or e-Procurement tools, e.g., Coupa, SAP, Ariba, etc.
Excellent stakeholder management skill and capable in establishing collaborative relationships with all levels in the company as well as suppliers
Be an influencer with impeccable communication skills relate to people, build relationships and effectively present arguments
Strong negotiating skill with proactive and positive attitude
Good command of both written and spoken English.
