Job Description

Position Summary

The Indirect Procurement Buyer III serves as a senior procurement professional responsible for managing complex sourcing initiatives, strategic supplier relationships, category management activities, and contract negotiations across multiple indirect spend categories. The role delivers value through strategic sourcing, risk mitigation, supplier performance management, commercial leadership, and stakeholder partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct spend analysis, supplier market assessments, and benchmarking activities.
  • Lead supplier evaluations, commercial bid tabulations, and award recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and contract provisions.
  • Administer purchase orders and procurement transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Partner with project teams, operations, finance, legal, and business stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement cost savings, cost avoidance, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor Buyer I and Buyer II personnel and provide procurement expertise.

Contract Management & Commercial Leadership

  • Lead development, negotiation, execution, and administration of complex agreements.
  • Negotiate and manage MSA, CSA, NDA, SOW, PSA, SaaS agreements, purchase agreements, and amendments.
  • Partner with Legal, Risk Management, and Finance on contractual reviews.
  • Negotiate indemnification, liability, insurance, confidentiality, and SLA provisions.
  • Manage contract renewals, extensions, compliance obligations, and closeout activities.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational, and supplier risks throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, and contract management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating MSAs, CSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and Professional Service Agreements.
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, commercial terms, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and independently lead strategic supplier negotiations.

  • External: Strategic Suppliers, Service Providers, Consultants, Contractors, and Vendors.
