The Indirect Procurement Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of indirect goods and services that support business operations, including categories such as IT, facilities, professional services, marketing, HR, travel, and office supplies. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, drive cost savings, ensure supplier compliance, and support operational efficiency while adhering to company procurement policies.

The Buyer executes end-to-end procurement activities—from requisition through supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase order creation, and supplier performance management. The role also supports spend analysis, supplier diversity initiatives, and continuous process improvement to maximize value and mitigate risk


Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions for indirect goods and services (e.g., office supplies, software products)
  • Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and request for quotes to suppliers
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with various departments to acquire items in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity
  • Analyze and communicate relevant data such as vendor quotes, parts lists, reports, etc.
  • Obtain, evaluate and negotiate bids from suppliers for price, delivery, quality, and terms and conditions
  • Interact closely with suppliers to resolve issues with orders for price variances, quantity and delivery
  • Assist with cost reduction activities
  • Interact effectively with internal and external customers
  • Conduct and facilitate quarterly business reviews with vendors and supplier scorecard assessment
  • Maintain procurement reports such as blocked invoices, goods receipts, blanket and open orders
  • Partner with Accounts Payable on invoicing and goods receipts
  • Conduct and facilitate bi-annual meetings with SAP Ariba users to provide key information and updates
  • To be able to create and maintain SAP Ariba Reporting
  • Ability to troubleshoot SAP error reports
  • Develop proficiency in Power BI by completing formal training
  • May recommend cost saving proposals or alternative sourcing
  • Applies and adheres to procurement policies, practices and procedures


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of purchasing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree can be substituted by minimum of 5 years direct work experience
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Detail oriented, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired, but not required
  • Experience in standard purchasing practices
  • Experience with SAP systems (Ariba S4, S4 Hana, business network) are a plus
  • Experience in MS excel, word, PowerPoint
