About the Role

As the Sales Leader for Rippling’s Payroll Product in India, you will lead our next phase of hyper-growth as we scale our market presence. In this role, you will create and implement the market strategy to drive continued growth of an already high-performing sales organization of Account Executives and SDRs.

Your primary responsibility will be scaling this revenue engine—creating a strategy, developing frontline managers, hiring top performing account executives, optimizing GTM playbooks, and expanding our footprint across India. The title will be Senior Manager (but open to Director depending on the scope of your leadership experience), you will play a pivotal role in establishing Rippling’s Global Product Suite as the dominant market leader in the region.

This role is based in Bangalore (3-day hybrid)

What You Will Do

• Scale from 1 to 10: Take an established, successful sales foundation and execute the strategies, team structures, and operational coverage needed to rapidly scale our India market share.
• Lead & Develop AEs and Managers: Hire, direct, coach, and scale a team. Empowering them to recruit, onboard, and develop their respective pods of Account Executives and SDRs.
• Drive Execution & Predictability: Own regional quotas, pipeline generation, monthly/quarterly forecasting, and closed deals across all sub-teams.
• Strategic Deal Support: Assist frontline leaders and AEs during high-stakes sales cycles by deeply understanding India-specific payroll, tax, and compliance nuances and mapping them to Rippling’s value proposition.
• Cross-Functional & Global Alignment: Partner with Marketing, Product, Post-Sales, and global sales leaders to replicate global best practices, adapt them for India, and feed market insights back to the product team.
• Optimize Playbooks: Continuously raise the bar on sales productivity, rep ramp times, pipeline conversion, and deal velocity across the sales org by continuing to develop the sales playbook and competitive strategy.

What You Will Need

• 2nd-Line Leadership (Required): Proven experience as a Manager of Managers in B2B SaaS, with a strong track record of hiring, coaching, and scaling frontline sales leaders.
• 1-to-10 Scaling Track Record: Experience scaling established teams during high-growth phases within B2B SaaS. Payroll, HR Tech, or FinTech in the Indian market preferred
• High-Velocity Deal Agility: Deep familiarity with high-velocity deal cycles (ranging from a few weeks to a few months).
• Direct & Honest Communication: Transparent and solutions-oriented. When roadblocks arise, we call them out openly and fix them fast.
• High Energy & Bias for Action: An owner mindset—decisive, fast-moving, and ready to balance high-level strategic leadership with rolling up your sleeves when needed.
