What’sthe role?

As an Index Sales Specialist you will be a key driver of the commercial strategy for Bloomberg indices, working closely with clients, sales, and product management to deliver solutions and develop business opportunities. As part of the Asset Manager group within the EMEA index sales team you willbe responsible forcoverage of strategic accounts as well as working closely with regional sales team to seek wider adoption and increased penetration of Bloomberg Index in this client segment.

You willbe responsible forbuilding andmaintainingrelationships with key influencers in the index community andprovidethem with consultative, commercially focused index solutions.You'llbe involved in all aspects of account management, including senior level relationship management and in-depth discussionsregardingBloomberg indexmethodologyand new product development.

You will be a key source for future Index product strategy, having input on the entire product life cycle. The role will require you to collaborate with both Bloomberg Index Product, Engineering and Marketing to develop client-focused solutions.

We’lltrust you to:

  • Build senior level relationships with many of the top institutional investment firmswithin the relevant region

  • Conduct in-depth discussionsregardingBloomberg indexmethodologyand new product requirements

  • Increase client usage and adoption of our Bloomberg Indices

  • Take a lead role in conducting internal and external training sessions and sales pitches

  • Work with clients throughout the sales process including commercial terms and contract execution

  • Collaborate extensively with different internal teams to cross-sell our suite of solutions

  • Provide detailed product feedback from clients to internal business managersin an effort tocontinually improve our products

You’llneed to have:

  • Significant experienceof indices and data in a client facing role (5-10 yrs experience desired)

  • A passion for financial products, especially for innovation in ETFs and mutual Funds

  • Proven experience working in, or selling to, asset and wealth managers

  • A self-starter and dedicated collaborator with strong multi-tasking skills, including an ability to self-source leads (Conferences, Digital presence, Cold Calling)

  • An astute commercial mind-set, working to exceed sales metrics

  • A network of Portfolio Managers, CIOs,COOsor Business managers contacts you canleverageas well as demonstrable ability toidentifynew prospects and build andmaintainsolid client relationships

  • Ability to creatively market our product to a vast demographic of potential clients

  • Ability to travel to meet with clients and prospects (4 to 6 days per month)

We would love to see:

  • Proven Experience in selling or servicing or working at/with ETF issuers

  • Experience with Fixed income and Equity indices

  • IMC,CFAor CFA ESG Qualified

  • Additional European language
