ISS STOXX is seeking an Index Business Analyst to join our team for Gurugram location.


ISS STOXX is seeking an Index Business Analyst to join our team. This role is instrumental in understanding business requirements and translating them into actionable tasks for technology and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the index business, strong analytical skills, and experience working on business and technology-driven projects. This position is a fantastic opportunity for professionals looking to develop expertise in index-related processes while contributing to business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

  • Translate business needs into structured, actionable tasks for technology and operations teams.

  • Create process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio to visualize workflows and system interactions.

  • Work within JIRA to track project progress, manage tasks, and coordinate with relevant teams (preferred).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, and Engineering, to support new product development and enhancements.

  • Assist in project management activities, including tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely execution.

  • Facilitate communication between business and IT teams to ensure alignment and seamless implementation of solutions.

  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Support data-driven decision-making by leveraging analytical skills to evaluate business processes and recommend improvements.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, IT, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of the index business and financial markets.

  • Minimum five years of relevant experience as business analysis, financial services, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio to create detailed flow diagrams and process maps.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across business and technology functions.

  • Highly analytical mindset, with a passion for working with data to drive insights.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured solutions.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management or exposure to project-based work.

  • Working knowledge of JIRA for project tracking and task management.
