Pay Rate: $22.00-$25.00/hr
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 Hour Work Week
Location: Allegheny County and surrounding counties (community-based with local travel required)

Achieva is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention professional to complete independent assessments and provide family-centered services to children with developmental delays. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams while making a lasting impact in the community.

Completes independent assessments for surrounding counties and carries out responsibilities in Allegheny County related to developing Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Provides sessions, consultations, and evaluations for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families. Coordinates independent assessment team functions and collaborates with multidisciplinary professionals to support family and child outcomes. Reports to the Assistant Director of Early Intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the achievement of family outcomes and individuals’ personal outcomes.
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team assessing infant and toddler development in Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Communication, Cognitive, Social, and Adaptive domains.
  • Interpret evaluation results and prepare written reports identifying strengths, needs, therapeutic concerns, and treatment recommendations.
  • Develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) using family-oriented language; collaborate with families to establish goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain supportive, professional relationships with families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IFSP outcomes and provide parent education related to child development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including data collection, evaluation tools, log sheets, and progress notes; submit logs weekly.
  • Schedule and deliver services in community settings as appropriate.
  • Maintain equipment, toys, and materials used during service delivery.
  • Assist with child transitions to preschool or other programs, including documentation and participation in transition meetings.
  • Collaborate with social workers on parent counseling and sibling education; refer intense family concerns to service coordination as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with community agencies and other disciplines.
  • Attend required staff meetings, in-services, and trainings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of child development programs and resources within Allegheny County.
  • Assist with seminars, conferences, public speaking engagements, and presentations related to early intervention.
  • Serve as a mentor to interning students from local universities and schools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

  • Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with 1–3 years of experience working with children in early intervention.
  • Multidisciplinary experience preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in Early Intervention, Early Childhood, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 clearances required.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and access to a vehicle for daily use
