With bproauto we are offering an O.E.-backed auto parts brand delivering high-quality products for most makes and models to wholesale partners and customers through dealership service departments around the world. Our brand is still in its infancy with aggressive plans to become a leading force in the automotive aftermarket, and this role is pivotal in ensuring the early success and rapid growth within this highly competitive segment.

The bproauto senior buyer will lead and oversee projects aimed to grow and expedite the development of the brand, its product offerings and positioning in the automotive aftermarket. The candidate will be responsible for managing a cross functional and cross departmental team to ensure adherence to our business plan in order to hit project timing and key milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and acquire high-quality automotive parts at competitive prices
  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of products and hitting key milestones
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendor partners
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality. Analyze and report on procurement costs and savings
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement and purchasing
  • Deliver on our sourcing strategies including low cost sourcing and development of emerging markets
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products. Make recommendations based on market insights

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or related roles
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Time management and organizational skills 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects from inception to completion
