Claims and Operations is looking for a Senior Scrum Master with experienceto managethe execution of initiatives supporting our Digital Enablementinitiatives across our portfolio. The assignment for this role is tothe Customer Communications and/or Digital Solutions ART within Digital Enablement We areseeking a highly motivated,results orientedindividual with strong Agile, delivery excellence,technical, AI,and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of 2 (minimum) Digitalagile development teams supporting new capabilities, maintenance, technical upgrades, etc.
Educate and coach the team in Agile framework, ensuring that the agreed Lean-Agile process is being followed and aligns with The Hartford’s Enterprise Business Delivery Model.
Acts as a role model for servant leadership.
Role requiresabilityto influence and work effectively with key stakeholders and business sponsorsin a timely manner
Organizes andfacilitatesceremonies,identifiesimprovement opportunities to optimizedeliveryleveragingmetrics and mitigating risk, supports and manages backlog health, and plans for future milestone releases.
Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders (Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, PI Planning, etc.)
Support stretch opportunities within Digital ART’s partnering with RTE’s.
Leads team maturity effort through continuous improvement mindsetand supports Digital Enablement’s overall Agile Maturity initiatives.
Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress asidentifiedby the team.
Protectsthe team from outside influences to ensure the teamremainsfocused on Scrum Team priorities.
Partners with the Product Owner and Product Manager to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team; supports teams KPI’s.
Drive continuous improvement mindset.
Partner with integrating LOB application Teams and application Production Support/Reliability Engineering teams; manage dependencies asrequired
Partner with and manage vendor implementation partner and 3rd party vendor integrations.
Manage and oversee resource planning andfinancial managementfor the Team.
Foundational understanding of application technology framework to guide and support team in delivery;demonstratedability and desire to learnnew technologies
Matrixed reporting,provides coaching/feedback to ensure team success.
Qualifications:
6-9yearsScrum Master experience
3+ years’ experience working and managing Agile team structures (Scrum/Kanban) withinSAFeframework
Strong knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
Strong Knowledge about Agiletechniques User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Burn Down Metrics, Velocity etc.
Agile Mindset: Embody Agile core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment. Infuse Agile principles,practicesand methodologies to achieve team success.
Deep experience partnering with LOB stakeholders
Superior organization skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsincludingthe ability to present confidently before a large audience.
Experience using agile toolsets such as Rally, Jira
Excellent analytical, problemsolvingand interpersonal skills.
Previousexperience in any part of the software development lifecycle – as developer, tester, analyst, product owner, project manager, etc. is a plus
Insurance industry experience preferred.
