Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

To be successful as an “Incremental CRM - Salesforce Developer”, you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Hands‑on enterprise development experience, with Java / backend engineering as the primary skill and Salesforce as a supporting platform.
• Strong Core Java (8+) expertise, including Spring / Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, multithreading, performance tuning, and backend integrations.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale, distributed Java systems in complex enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce (Apex, LWC, SOQL) with experience integrating Salesforce with Java-based backend services.
• AVP‑level technical leadership capability—able to drive architecture, review code/designs, mentor engineers, and engage senior stakeholders.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple business and IT environments globally.
• Prior experience working in investment banking or financial services (nice to have).
• Proactive team player with well-developed interpersonal and mentoring skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Proven ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
