NATIONWIDE SEARCH: CALIFORNIA / EUROPE— A bustling, down-to-earth, high-profile family based in the Bay Area is seeking an exceptional FULL-TIME LIVE-IN ROTA NANNY to join their fully staffed household, rotating with another nanny on a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off or one-month-on/one-month-off schedule. This is truly a unicorn family—warm, generous, and deeply respectful of their team; seeking a like-minded professional to become an integral part of their children’s lives. This role involves 24/7 care during your rotation, with typical awake hours falling between 8 AM–8 PM, though flexibility is essential as schedules may shift and occasional overnight support may be required. The family travels frequently and spends summers in Spain from Memorial Day through Labor Day, so a candidate who is passport-ready, adaptable, and excited by a dynamic, travel-filled lifestyle is key. Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus.
The position centers around the care of three young children; their 5-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy, and a new baby. Their daughter is bright, energetic, and deeply imaginative, with a love for outdoor play and hands-on activities. She attends school Monday through Friday and participates in ballet, soccer, and Spanish lessons. Their son is calm, observant, and easygoing, with a sweet and gentle demeanor. The new baby will require attentive, knowledgeable infant care, and a nanny who is confident supporting this early stage with ease.
The family currently employs a night nurse, who will be transitioning out in October, at which point the baby will be approximately 10 months old. The incoming nanny should be confident managing all aspects of care, including maintaining routines and stepping in as needed overnight moving forward. A strong understanding of infant and early childhood development, along with the ability to balance the needs of multiple children, is essential.
The ideal candidate is warm, polished, and proactive; someone who is incredibly organized, resourceful, and always thinking several steps ahead. You should be engaging and playful with the children while maintaining a calm, capable, and professional presence in the home. Excellent packing skills, adaptability, and a “can-do” attitude are a must in keeping up with this family’s lifestyle.
Both parents are hands-on, loving, and highly respectful of their nanny’s role. The mother, in particular, is seeking a true partner; someone who can operate with autonomy, attention to detail, and shared values in raising kind, grounded children. This is a household that values positivity, collaboration, and mutual respect. They do not expect deep cleaning, as there is full staff in place, but do expect a tidy presence, light child-related housekeeping, and support with preparing meals for the children.
This position offers a private live-in accommodation during working rotations, along with competitive compensation commensurate with experience, a health insurance stipend, and all travel-related expenses, room, board, and incidentals covered. Beyond the day-to-day, this role offers incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experiences alongside a truly exceptional family.
