Zayo is seeking an Income Tax Senior Analyst to join our growing Tax team toassistZayo with various aspects of income tax, including U.S. federal, U.S. state, and international tax obligations and income tax provision reporting in the annual and quarterly financial statements.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or reviewincome tax workpapers necessary for U.S. federal,U.S.state, and international compliance, quarterlyestimatesand extensions, and execute related tax payments

  • Prepare and/or reviewworkpapers to support quarterly and annual US GAAP worldwide income tax provisions

  • Calculate and/or reviewcomplex tax depreciation calculations as needed, andmaintainownership of tax depreciation software

  • Calculate and/or reviewstate apportionmentand state modifications as needed

  • CalculateEarnings & Profits and Transfer Pricingcalculationsas needed

  • ReviewU.S.federal,U.S. state, and internationaltax returns prepared by externaltax advisors

  • Maintain complex NOL, fixed asset, tax account, and similar roll forwardschedules

  • Lead theprocess for respondingto notices from various taxing jurisdictions, anticipating questions a nd objectionsto prepareclear analyses to support tax positions

  • Assistwith income tax audits

  • Assistwithintegration efforts and thepreparation of purchase accounting tax workpapersas needed

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed

  • Collaborate withcross-functionalteamsto supportaccurateandtimelyinformation sharing withthe Tax team

  • Identify, recommend,andimplementprocess improvements byleveragingtechnology and innovation to enhance efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting and compliance processeswhile also minimizing risk

  • Perform tax research and analysis asrequiredto ensure the companyis in compliance withstatutory and legal requirements

  • Draft technical taxmemoranda to support tax positions and strategies of the company

  • Interpretchanges in tax laws and regulations and analyzethepotentialtaximpacttothe company’scurrent tax positions

  • Assistwith special projects such as federal andstatetax planning, R&D tax credit, accounting methods, and due diligence efforts on M&A activities

  • Other duties as they arise

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 4 (four) years of work experience in income taxation with an accounting firm and/or large corporation

  • In-depthunderstanding of corporate tax compliance, including US federal and state returns

  • Experience with income tax provisions under ASC 740

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation programs

  • Ability to work independently anddemonstrateinitiative

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, flexible work schedule, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions

  • Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to change

  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license

  • Master’s degree in Taxation

  • Experience with state income tax

  • Experience with international tax, or willingness to learn

  • Experience with tax provision, compliance,research, and data manipulation software (e.g., OneSource,RIA,Alteryx,etc.)

Estimated Base Pay Range: $77,100 - $125,000 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
