Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Income Tax Lead on a permanent full-time basis within our Finance team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

Join our Finance team as the Income Tax Lead, where you'll oversee FCL's corporate income tax function, provide expert tax guidance, and help shape financial decisions through effective tax planning and compliance. What you’ll do:

  • Lead FCL's corporate income tax function, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, tax provisions, and compliance across FCL’s operations.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions, IFRS tax disclosures, future income tax calculations, and supporting documentation for financial reporting and audit requirements.

  • Provide strategic tax advice on capital projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and corporate transactions to optimize tax outcomes and support informed business decisions.

  • Manage income tax audits, CRA reviews, and tax-related correspondence while developing practical solutions and representing FCL's interests.

  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, strengthen internal controls, and leverage technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.

  • Partner with Finance teams across the organization to integrate income tax considerations into budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and other key financial initiatives.

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, you'll work closely with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, and Finance leaders across FCL. You'll also collaborate with business units, external advisors, and taxation authorities to ensure compliance, support strategic initiatives, and deliver value through effective tax planning and reporting.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Finance and

  • Have 8+ years of progressive corporate income tax experience, including tax compliance, tax provision, and financial reporting within a complex, multi-entity organization.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
  • A Professional tax designation or advanced tax education, such as CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Program (completed or in progress), is considered an asset.
