This position carries administrative and supervisory responsibilities for the Family and Children Medicaid Program and involves continuous planning due to changing program requirements and additional staff requirements. The Family and Children Medicaid Team Lead in Harnett County assist in supervising IMC I and IMC II.
Hiring Salary: $51,636.00
Thorough knowledge of income maintenance program assigned. Considerable knowledge of all agency and community programs and services which could affect the client/applicant. General knowledge of all income maintenance programs. Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of regulations, policies and procedure of varying complexity. Ability to work independently and prioritize work. Ability to instruct arid evaluate the work of lower level employees. Ability to train employees in new and existing rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to understand the needs and problems of clients/applicants. Ability to perform caseworker function under and within structured time frames.
Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Employees are responsible for assisting supervisors with the work of income maintenance caseworkers involved in the intake, processing, and review functions in any of the income maintenance programs. The objectives of the income maintenance programs are generally stable, however, there are shifting emphases with regard to how cases are processed due to the continual changes in rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the administration of the income maintenance programs. Employees are responsible for a staff of approximately 5 – 15 employees.
