We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor - Associate to join our finance team in Mysuru, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of income documentation through comprehensive audits and financial analysis. You will work closely with our finance and accounting teams to verify income records, identify discrepancies, and maintain compliance with established audit standards and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your audit expertise while contributing to the organization's financial controls and governance framework.

  • Analyze and review income statements, financial records, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and completeness
  • Perform detailed income verification procedures and reconcile variances between recorded amounts and supporting evidence
  • Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and potential audit risks during the audit process
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, working papers, and documentation in accordance with audit standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit procedures, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operational teams to gather necessary information and clarify audit findings
  • Maintain organized and detailed audit trails, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily retrievable
  • Follow up on audit recommendations and track the implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and refinement of audit procedures and controls
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in audit, accounting, finance, or related roles
  • Proven experience with income verification processes and financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial management systems
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and audit standards
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and anomalies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple audit assignments
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Familiarity with internal audit frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP systems and knowledge of Indian tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Preferred: Advanced data analysis skills and experience with audit management tools
