Job Description

We are currently seeking a Income Auditor to join our vibrant team at Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel. Income Auditor maintains all necessary income reports and journals by accurately auditing the daily revenues of the hotel, in accordance with hotel accounting and financial controls, and within the policies and procedures as outlined in hotel and corporate policies and guidelines, and the hotel’s business plan.

AUDIT THE HOTEL’S DAILY REVENUES:

• Performs an audit of the daily night audit ensuring its accuracy and completeness
• Maintains filing systems for the daily information; registration cards, cards, restaurant charges, promotional tickets and coupons, zero/cash folios, etc.
• Controls the restaurant guest checks
• Prepares all necessary period end closing reports
• Completes period end journals
• Assists the Cost Controller in the month end storeroom physical inventory
• Prepares reports as requested to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
• Follows all applicable laws relating to general accounting practices and tax regulations
• Complies fully with the set financial reporting deadlines and guidelines, as outlined and by the Financial Controller
• Maintains high confidentiality
• Reports any suspicious behaviour of employees to the Financial Controller and Security
• Accepts flexible working schedule when necessary for the hotel’s uninterrupted service
• Performs required duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall objective of the position

Qualifications

Must have strong accounting finance background

• Must be methodical and accurate
• Be a team player and have strong communication skills
• Manage the office for Debtors and Creditors
• Reconciliation of all card transactions on a daily and monthly basis
• Dealing with all charge back requests and bank queries
• To reconcile and report on the Petty Cash expenditure on a monthly basis
• To issue monies from the accounts departmental float according to the Petty Cash SOP
• Daily banking of cash takings and reconciliations both daily and monthly
• Fluent in English both written and oral
• Excellent telephone manner
• Knowledge of Opera, Micros, Sage ERP 300 and SAP is essential
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be honest and trustworthy
